Rent Bank Program
The Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board, together with the Ontario Government is helping tenants, who are facing eviction due to non-payment rent, stay in their homes. By providing assistance through the RRDSSAB Provincial Rent Bank Program, the RRDSSAB will help people stay in their homes during tough times and avoid eviction.
The RRDSSAB’s Rent Bank Program has been successful in helping tenants resolve unplanned financial difficulties, and stay in their homes for the past two years.
Tenants who are facing such a crisis may apply at the:

- Updated bank statements
- Most recent Income tax return
- Verification of monthly income – 8 weeks pay stubs
- If you are in receipt of Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program, we require your drug card
- Any investments you may have – RRSP's, GIC's, etc…
- Birth Certificate
- Eviction Notice from your current landlord
- Application Information Sheet
- Application Form
- When completing your application to access the Emergency Rent Bank Fund you must also have your landlord complete the Agreement to Waive Eviction Proceedings and submit with your Application.
